In L.A.: A first date is like freshman year college orientation – You’re from the East Coast? Me too! We should be best friends. In New York: A first date is like a job interview – What do you do for work? Where are you from? What part of town do you live in? What’s your five-year plan? I’ve enjoyed observing (well, for the most part) the differences that LA offers compared to New York City. As someone who has spent the majority of his adult life in Manhattan – but now lives in Los Angeles – I’ve discovered that both cities are equally rewarding and frustrating when it comes to the dating scene.
